Is Jeff Grisamore really the champion of those that are affected by autism or does he use them as stepping stones in his political career? What is he doing to stop restraint, seclusion, or abuse? What is he doing to make sure that they are receiving the education and services that they are entitled to?

Grisamore States He Wasn't On Blue Ribbon Panel Because He Is On Autism Commission
As for the Autism Blue Ribbon Panel, I did not speak to Senator Justus about letting me on the Commission. Senator Gibbons, who leads the Senate told me he had wished he had known of my interest in autism before the apointments because he would have wanted to appoint me. We did discuss having me added to the panel after the appointments, but I instead plan to serve on the Autism Commission as a House member. It would have been difficult for me though to make all their hearings with my interim commitee and service on the Missouri Children's Services Commission of which I am now serving as Chairman. Jeff Grisamore

In-District Autism Consultant Training - Project ACCESS - Missouri State University
In-District Autism Consultant Training - Project ACCESS - Missouri State University
To receive In-District Autism Consultant training, individuals must have completed six days of autism specific training; i.e.: the two-day Introduction to Autism, followed by the four-day Working with Autistic Students in the Schools (WASS) or the four-day Early Intervention for Young Children with Autism (EIYCA).
This means that no matter what your doctor says a person that has received 12 days of training decides whether your child gets an educational diagnosis of autism.

House sends employment discrimination bill to the Senate (AUDIO)
The Missouri House of Representatives has passed its version of employment discrimination legislation, following the most heated debate so far this session. House Democrats, lead by the Black Caucus, spoke at length in opposition to the measure each time it came to the floor, saying it will make discrimination easier in Missouri workplaces.
Republicans fired back against those comments in debate on Thursday. Lee’s Summit representative Jeff Grisamore said, “I frankly find it abhorrent and offensive that there has been such gross misrepresentations of this issue that members of the minority would imply that anybody on this floor, in this chamber, supports bigotry and discrimination.”
Minority Floor Leader Mike Talboy (D-Kansas City) re-iterated his party’s stance that the bill makes it easier to discriminate against the disabled, cancer patients, minorities and other groups. He told Grisamore, “You can own that. I’m not calling you a racist, I’m not calling you a bigot, I have never done that, nor will I … if you’re upset about it then you have some introspection to do on your own. Don’t blame me.”

Second teacher at L.A. school accused of 'lewd acts' against pupils - CNN.com
Los Angeles (CNN) -- Another teacher has been arrested at Miramonte Elementary School in Los Angeles on allegations of lewd acts on young pupils, authorities said Friday.
Capt. Mike Parker of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said that Friday's arrest is "quite different" from the arrest earlier this week of another teacher, Mark Berndt.
Berndt, 61, was accused of taking bondage photos of more than two dozen students in his classroom, some showing suspected semen-filled spoons at the children's mouths, authorities said.
Investigators from the special victims bureau arrested the second teacher, Martin Bernard Springer, 49, of Alhambra, California, on Friday, Parker told reporters. Springer's arrest came after investigators received "new information" on Thursday morning that led them to the teacher.
