Lee's Summit residents. Please join Debbie Blair Shaumeyer and me at this forum. We need to make sure that our board members are doing what is right for the students. When you vote they will say to vote for three. DON'T do it. Only vote for one. That way you won't be voting for the people that you don't want in office.
The Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce and the Lee's Summit Journal will host a Board of Education Candidate Forum from 6 to 8 p.m. March 19 at the Stansberry Leadership Center, 301 NE Tudor Road. The forum is free and open to the public.
Candidates (listed in filing order) are Chris Storms, Bill Baird, Terri Harmon and Mark Ousnamer. Mr. Storms and Mrs. Harmon are current Board of Education members and were both elected in April 2011.
